FAQ
Questions people ask first
Do I need to install anything?
Only Telegram, which you probably already have. Aria is a normal Telegram chat — there is no separate app, no browser extension and no account to create on this site.
Is it really an AI, or a person?
It is an AI. Nobody is reading your chat and replying by hand, and Aria will tell you it is an AI if you ask. We think being direct about that is part of being trustworthy.
How do I change the personality?
Just say so. "Be more sarcastic", "call me Sam", "you're a nurse from Lisbon who loves techno" — the change takes effect immediately and the rest of the character stays as it was. Use /personality to see the current setup.
What kind of pictures can it send?
Two kinds: photos of your companion that stay visually consistent with the character you created, and images generated from anything you describe. Requests involving real identifiable people, minors, or anything illegal are refused.
Who can see my conversations?
Your messages are used to generate replies and to give your companion memory. They are not sold, not used for advertising and not shown to other users. A small number of engineers can access systems containing data for abuse investigations and debugging. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes — send /delete in the chat. Your companion, message history and generated images are removed from our systems, with backups rotating out within 30 days. No email, no support ticket. Telegram, as the platform, keeps its own copy of the chat — deleting that means deleting the chat inside Telegram.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Send /billing and cancel there. It stays active until the end of the period you paid for, then drops back to the free tier — your companion is not deleted.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes. Aria is for adults aged 18 and over. Accounts found to belong to minors are removed.
